MSP 2012 Round 1: Sailor Pollux

My last minute entry for the participation round in the Miss Senshi Pageant 2012 - Sailor Pollux/ Reiko Hoshino.



In the sketch the pose looked better and I messed up the shoes. But the face is completely free hand drawn, haha. And I also used for the first time my new Copic Ciao's! Only one Shinhan marker! *o* Wuuu, I hope you guys like her! ^///^ (I am soooo excited to take part in this MSP thing for the first time!! *le really nervous Toto* And I am already a bit proud of the interview and what I invented for my Polli. Hope you enjoy it! ^^)

Well, here the interview part for the 1st Pageant round:


Tell us something about you that will help us remember you.
I am the Sailor Senshi of the first star of the Zodiac sign Gemini. We star Sailors only have small powers, but among us I am one of the strongest. Because we are only weak Sailors almost all of us were killed by Galaxia, long time before she continued in the Solar System where Sailor Moon lives. But with the liberation of our star seeds from Cauldron we were reborn on planet Earth.

Life begins at...
...at the moment when you realise that you shouldn't wonder what the sense of live is and you recognize that everyone should give his or her life the sense on his or her own.

Describe your typical day.
Phiew, my typical day? I stand up early in the morning and immediately start to work. I am a novelist and also professional blogger. Haha, I understand the face that you make now. Well, at home in our star palace we had very finest technology and I think I still have something from that time in me. Yes, also I need much liberty and with my job I can organize my day as I want. Mostly, I go out for lunch and after this take some walks through our town to get inspiration for my stories. It depends on the weather and on my mood if I stop by in the small antique library in the street next corner or if I visit my sister Sayuri (you maybe know her as Sailor Castor already) in her university. At night I often work as bartender or at the entrance of a Gothic and Metal club.

What do you want to do with your life?
I'd like to get to know most facets of it as possible. But I must admit I am already quite content with what I have achieved and that I live very liberate. This is luxuriousness for me.

What is your weakest personality trait?
I go along with all people very well, but I am a bit short tempered and I know I am a bit self-loving. I am really not an egoist, but I also know who I am and I am very self-confident. Some people think I am arrogant. And aggressive, because I often yell at them when I feel they did something wrong. Or maybe like when there is an awkward situation about to appear, I overplay my insecurity with being rough and aggressive. I know, not very cool...

What is your strongest personality trait?
I am thankful and don't take things for granted. I think this is a gift. And I am very strong. I had to take care of my sister from our childhood on and I would do anything to protect her from evil.

What would be your logo on a T-shirt?
Hm, this is a good question! Let me think about it a while. ...hmm.. *lays her thumb on the lips and begins to nibble on it* ...I think I'd take the most obvious thing, a lilac star, maybe with a silver ring around it, like a Saturn ring. Yes, I think that would be pretty.

Are you a giver or a taker?
Oh man, who invented these questions? *laughs and twinkles with her one eye to the interviewer* Ok, I think both a bit. I think I take a lot, but always in a fair way. And when it comes to my beloved ones I am the greatest giver in the world, I swear. So, it depends on what and who and when.

List three of the most unusual things you have done.
I lived on a star and was dead for some years? Haha, ok, let's say this doesn't count. *twinkles again* ...ok, I list some unusual things from my present life and don't comment to these. First thing was an almost-striptease in the club where I work when the colleagues and I had a small after-party and played this stupid game with the bottle in the circle. Second was a visit to a classic concert with my sister and a guy she dated. Third was to join a Lan-party of a guy friend. Just one comment on this: I never went to one anymore.

Other than your looks, what do you like most about yourself?
That I have a strong and individual personality and live my life exactly as how I wished to do. I achieved all the liberty that I need and I get paid for things that I love to do. This is an important side of me and I am proud of it. I am also proud of my writing skills. And I think it's good to say what you think, to be honest even if it hurts other.

What would you name your autobiography?
"Of a girl who came back stronger than ever." Or something similar like this.

Who is your role model? / Who or what inspires you?
Haruki Murakami is one of my greatest inspirations, as novelist and dreamer. And of course Sayuri inspires me a lot. Her presence is breathtaking, I really love her.

What would you like to see done to improve the public’s understanding of the importance of Senshi? Why?
Good point. I think people should be in general more self-confident about themselves and have more trust in their neighbours. They shouldn't rely on institutions like police and state all the time. I guess, with such a view on the society they understand that we Sailor Senshis are always there for them and act individually and directly among the citizens. This is one of the messages that I try to give with my novels. So, what I'd like to be seen done for a better understanding would be if more and more people communicate in any form about this. You know, to me it's a political thing.
